vette rims on blazer

This is where I need help: A good friend just put a set of ZR6 rims and tires on his 97 vette. He has the original set of vette rims w/new tires that he has given me.(yes, for free) Anyone know if this is a feasible swap? I know I will need spcers/adapters. Will take and set up pics of truck soon.

RE: vette rims on blazer

Just about anything is possible with adapters.
Your factory wheels are 5 on 4.75" bolt pattern. Check your backspacing on the Vetter wheels and your stock ones. I know on my '87 4x4 S10-Blazer that 2wdr wheels push the tires too far out and I rub the rear of the front fenders on turns. This is with 235/75R15 tires. With factory 4x4 wheels I can run 30" tires (1" bigger in diameter then the 235/75R15 tires) and not rub at all. Tire placement is critical on these trucks. Plus the 4x4 S-series have some serious backspacing.
