wheel backspacing for 97 blazer ?

i'm going to order some new wheels /tires for my recently purchased 97 blazer,
i was told to go with a wheel size of 15x8 size 5x4.5 bolt pattern but i'm not sure of the back spacing ? 3.75" 4.5" i was told i couldn't go wrong with 4.5" but i want to make sure anybody
know ?

That's the wrong bolt pattern. They're 5x4.75. 5x4.5 is for a jeep.

Personally, i wouldn't go with any less than 4.5" of backspacing, and even that is pushing it. I'd probably stay closer to 5" of backspacing.

thanks for the correction sir,
i'm going to go with 29x10.50-15 super swamper thornbirds
and i kinda figured that i would need at least a 4.5" to a 5"+ backspacing
i know they are going to stick out some but it's allright

I beleive you'll have a wider turning radius and a more balanced footprint with the 4.5" b/s. Thornbirds are awesome! Go for it.
