wheel info help
looking for the info on backspacing for a 98 4x4 aluminum wheels,
will a 15x8 with same backspacing give me an extra outside inch without rubbing on stock suspension, and a 255/70 tire? info and pics please......... not into black wheels.... |
IF you can find a 15x8 with 6" backspacing (factory spec for 4x4 S-series trucks) it should fit with a 255/70/15 tire. I ran 255/70/15's on my stock rims and the only place I rubbed was on my sway bar, and that's because the end links were worn out and the sway bar was not centered. Once I fixed that the tires didn't rub at all.
The problem is finding a 15x8 aftermarked rim with 6" backspacing. Most manufacturers make them with between 4-5" backspacing or even less. |
so what would stock wheels be?
|
stock is 15x7 with 6" BS
|
so would a 15x7 with 4.5 backspace work?
on stock height with 255/70s not sure if i got this backspace/offset stuff figured out..... what would rub if any,` or will it be 1.5 more outside stock wheels? |
if u could show a few pics, i could tell u the look i want.........
please help |
4.5" BS would stick out 1.5" further than stock on each side. They might rub on the fenders while turning.
