wheel spacers
 

i hate how my rear tires sit so far inside the fenders. has anyone tries wheel spacers? are they safe? do they look good? pics and advice here please. i know getting different backspaceing can help but thats quite costly

I have been running spacers for a long while now. I've heard bad things but have had none. I inspect them on tire rotations that I do myself and im sure to torque to 95ftlbs. They are hub centric to the axle but not to the wheels making installing the wheel lug nuts to the wheels correctly is important. I think I have some pics in my album of my spacers.

that looks great what size tires are you running? i was thinking about getting 2 inch for yhe rear and leave the front stock

1.5" in the front and 2.75" in the rear makes the track of the front and back the same plus 1\2"-1" spaced out from fender giving it the wide track look. Unfortunately still running the stock size tires, 235/75/15 if I remember correctly.

I run 2" spacers and it brings my rear wheels out even with the fenders. If you get any make sure the are hubcentric.

I ran 1.25" spacers on the rear of my Blazer to even it with the front until I got my ZR2 axle. After that I put the spacers on the front. With 1.25" spacers on the front and a ZR2 axle in the rear the track width is almost exactly the same front & rear.

I have 1.5" hub centric spacers on the back. Never any problems.

I run 1.75" in the rear of my 04, have for 3 years now, not a single issue. In the rear solid axle you shouldn't ever have any problems. Stick with hub-centric and you're golden. I've ran non hub-centric spacers before and ended up with vibrations... Putting them on the front is what starts giving issues usually with alignment and resulting tire wear. I've ran spacers on various vehicles for the past 7 years roughly and have NEVER had a spacer break off or anything if that's what you're worried about. I've had expensive $200 for a set of 4 Spidertrax on my Tacoma and I'm running MUCH cheaper like $30 for the pair on my Blazer, and the only difference I see is the Spidertrax had a fancy blue anodized coating. I did get a cool sticker with the Spidertrax at least though :P

Spacers No Problems
 

Hi,
I've only had rear wheel spacers for about three months now, but no problems. put about 2,500 miles on truck with the spacers on - to Florida and back.
I like the way the truck looks and rides with them - feels like there's more stability from wider track.
Just in case you want to know - I have one and half inch hubcentric eecp wheel spacers (amazon) with 15 x 8 American Racing rims 3.75 inch back spacing.

I like the spacers and would recommend trying it.
