Z28 wheels

So...finally got my hands on a decent set of 1985 Z28 rims. My 2003 2Dr 4x4 LS was gonna look great I thought. Get them installed, only to discover they rub against the calipers front and back. Grrrr so I need spacers. Don't need much to clear, guessing .25 inch would work if I can find that. Curious if I did would I need longer studs or would the factory studs still have enough meat to bolt on to securely. My main focus would be the front since I was planning on adding 1.25" spacers to the rears anyway so they'd be closer in stance to the front wheels. Really don't want to push the fronts out to much farther then 1 5" I'll get because of the change in offset compared to stock. Any suggestions?

My new old ride.
so I had a good look at the wheels backsides. Lookz like something was catching the inside edges where the spokes meet at the hub but only on one wheel so I've ordered 3mm spacers. No way in hell anything is catching on the rears with the ebrake hubs. But that raises another concern. I've ordered 1. 25" spacers for the rear wheels to get them closer to the front wheel stance. But look at it with an old rear disc the brake disc will be outside the wheel? I've seen other S10's and blazers with the Z wheels mounted so what kind of brake problems can I expect with the whole brake assembly exposed to whatever?

I can't remember the exact number, but I do remember recomendations from a wheel spacer company for the miniumim number of rows of threads the lug nuts should engage. It might have been 5 or 6.

You might do a google search to confirm this.

Changing wheels

So after careful consideration I've decided to drop the Z28 wheel swap with my 4WD LS blazer. The front would look great, but the rear disc's hanging outside the rim just doesn't sit right with me. Seems like I'd be constantly running into braking issues with crap getting stuck in between the pads and calipers. Going to go for aftermarket wheels with similar backspacing for the summer and stock for winter. Selling off the Z wheels to recoup some of the $ I've wasted in this endeavor.
