How to convert manual seats to power seats on a TrailBlazer?
My parents have a 2005 Traiblazer EXT with cloth manual seats on both front ones. I want to install power adjusting but if possible I'd like them to be able to use the seat warmer as well, not a priority so if this makes the install harder no problem. I'm mainly focused on the use of the power adjusting. I was wondering if anybody could help me with this mod.
Thank you, Julio |
it should be plug and go...most likely under the seats tucked just under the carpet is an opening..harness might already be there.
check for that....if so you are good to go. it was that way for me with my pass seat..i had manual and just had to drop in a power seat because the harness was there. |
Awesome where exactly would it be located?

They should be directly under the front of your current seats...right about the middle.
should be tucked right in the hole. |
Ok ill give it a look thanks!

So I was inspecting the seats today and they didnt have a hole, although I did see a hole BUT it had a plastic piece with like a screw. Both seats are manual and they did have a lot of cables, I presume pasenger is for the airbag sensor and driver side idk lol I am not a professional I know average lol so unless that was the hole your talking about?

Yeah...on mine it is just under the middle of the seat on the floor.
Guess i got lucky when i did mine....did see any harness that had open ends? Normally airbag connections are bright yellow so they stand out. |
Ill take some pics tomorrow lol I did see a lot of cables but don't remember too good if they were just there or connected

You may have to dig under the carpet. There should be a slot in the carpet, or the cable may come out under the rear air vent. They are usually there though. Sometimes it's only the drivers seat, but I have never seen a Blazer or a Trail Blazer without at least wiring for the drivers seat.
