Power steering cooler replacement

Hey everyone. Is there a way to replace the power steering cooler on these trucks without removing the bumper? I was reading the repair manual and it said to remove the "radiator air baffle" but said nothing about the bumper. I have heard others removing the bumper to replace it. I would like to swap out this cooler today, but I don't have enough room to pull the bumper and where I am it is likely to attract too much attention in the neighborhood. Is there a way to unhook and drop the cooler down below the bumper and switch the lines to the new cooler? Thanks

i just looked up in my book for 1998's.

it says:
1. Remove air cleaner assembly
2. put drain pan under car
3. disconnect the p/s cooler hoses from p/s cooler
4. remove the radiator air intake baffle
-->a. remove grille
-->b. remove primary hood latch support bracket
-->c. remove bolts in order to loosen the p/s cooler lines
-->d. remove radiator air intake baffle retainers
-->e. remove intake baffle
5. remove p/s cooler bolts
6. remove p/s cooler from radiator support.

thats all it says. it doesnt say anything about having to take the bumper off to do this. you should, once you get far enough, just drop the baffle out from the bottom on the floor. then fish out the cooler lines.
keep us posted, and take pictures if you have to so you can remember how to put things back together.
good luck.
