rear wiper

I have a 2002 LT balzer. I have a problem with the rear wiper. When you turn it on it seems to catch the lip of the rear glass door and you have to manually lift it up onto the rear glass door to make it work. Is this a common problem or is there a way around it?

Sounds like the tension may be too high on it. Try bending the arm out near where the wiper blade attaches.

well it might also be the motor, i had a problem were it would move like an inhc up and you had to push it to get it going, we put a new motor in(got it from vip, yeah they had it in stock who knew) And it worked great no problems since then

Seems to be fine once it's up on the rear window. I'll try and bending arm a bit first and see if that works.

All I saw was "rear wiper" and figured it might be this problem.
I have the same problem, you flip the switch, hear the *clink* sound, you have to get out and push the arm and it starts moving.
I think I posted a topic on this over the week.
What size is your wiper blade? I have a 15", but I'm about to change it out for the winter. I tried bending the arm, but it's pretty strong. I tried with pliers but they wouldn't budge. I took the blade off and put it back on, flipped the switch and it worked..for about a week. Then one day it was raining, flipped the switch and *clink*, it was stuck. Taking the blade off and putting it back on gave it enough clearance somehow that I guess some days it feels like working and some days it doesn't. When there's snow or ice on that back window it manages to slide itself over the lip and get onto the window. I've never had the motor burn out, so the motor is still going strong. I'm just afraid if it catches the lip enough the motor will burn out, considering the entire time it's basically trying to get over the lip.

I managed to bend the arm no problem, still catches a touch but I can live with it. I'll have to measure the the blade to see what size it is and convert it from millmetres to inches.
