Transmission problems? please help!

Hey everyone, I have a bit of a situation here, I need some help. My grandma has a 2007 Trailblazer 2wd, with the I-6 motor. She called me asking for advice, and described a very unusual problem. She said she was rolling to a stop, and she felt a 'grinding' through the brakes. Not a pulsation (like with abs) more of just a grind like when you run your brake pads down to bare metal. The pads were replaced last November, so they should still be good I assume. It just started doing that today. ALSO!!!! On top of that, when she hit the gas to go, she said the truck didn't want to move an inch, almost like the brakes were holding her still. She said she shifted into 3rd gear on the selector, and she said it moved away like nothing ever happened!! At the next light, same thing. Grinding, then no go. She put it in drive, and nothing. Put it in reverse, and it moved back words. She then put it in drive, and then it went forward like nothing ever happened.

I'm thinking its a brake issue (maybe sticky caliper) but would that explain the grinding? Maybe the caliper wore down the pad(s) on that wheel down to the bare metal? Maybe its a transmission issue? I'm not sure, but ANY info would be so helpful. Thanks in advance!! :icon_pala:

Sounds like a brake issue to me. I'd be pulling the wheels off to check them out.

Yep brakes hanging up. Maybe broken pads jamming up or rubber line imploding on itself
