Lightbulb Forum Suggestion: Creation of a new YouTube sticky thread of how to's

Everyone:

After reading swartlkk's thread: https://blazerforum.com/forum/2nd-ge...blazer-101195/ , I realized that YouTube is one of the many places I often refer to when deciding to tackle a new automotive project, or when something I haven't dealt with before unexpectedly happens to any of my cars. It occurred to me that perhaps a new sticky section in the Tech Article/DIY area could be composed of numbered or bulleted lists of subjects/issues that are common problems with our vehicles, each followed by helpful YouTube links for each subject.

Not all subjects/issues regarding our trucks may have good videos available, so instead of arbitrarily composing a list, it may be better to form a list as we go. In other words, when a good video is found by any member, it could be suggested to the forum in an open thread. A chosen panel of forum members could then privately review and discuss the subject, after which a group decision would be presented to forum administration for final decision whether or not to include the suggestion into the locked sticky thread.

I've discussed this idea with swartlkk via pm, who agrees this may be a positive learning tool for our forum as a group. I'd love to hear any ideas or suggestions, and would like to start off with a YouTube link that I found to be of great help for anyone who may be dealing with the all-to-common P0300 misfire code:

We already have a thread concerning common issues with the Blazers and if you go to YouTube you can simply use their 'search' function to locate a video you want. I see no need to create a jumbled mess of a thread consisting of links that may or may not correctly be connected to a given issue. No, thank you.

I'm willing to see where this goes. One thread for stuff like this isn't going to kill things especially if there is someone that is willing to manage it. For that, Rich, you're off the hook. Just look the other way and, in the end, say "I told you so" if you'd like.

Might be easier to keep all in one place, but I'm just wondering how many people will actually post a link to a video or such...

I'm up for it tho...

I am more of a "visual learner" myself and I would love to share some great Blazer "How To" videos I found.. I've learned quite a lot the past few months as to these trucks.

Do we have a thread for YouTube videos?

I have seen some good ones.. surely there are some good ones out there
