Has anyone noticed when browsing the site on your phone, it will keep asking if you want to go in to mobile view? I noticed that with EVERY link I click on it'll ask.

Now, I wouldn't mind if it asked me when I first enter the site, but it does it all the time. Also, I noticed loading takes much longer before the pop up loads. Luckily I can turn off mobile view on my phone, but it messes with other sites I use, and drains battery even faster.

Thought I would just bring it up.

 

The same thing happens for me on my Droid 3 for any site that has both a standard version and a mobile version. I don't believe it has anything to do with this site exclusively.

 

Yeah it does it to me as well (iphone 3gs). It only displays the pop-up when I first load the site though, as I browse around and open threads I never see it. I just load the regular version.

 

Yeah its annoying but I've gotten used to it. It makes me mad when the message doesn't come up because the page won't load until it does. Although I'm pretty sure I'm in the full version so I don't know why it has to come up at all

 

Same here because the mobile version doesn't have the full functionality needed by the Staff.

 

Huh, well I guess I might just keep switching mobile view off on my phone. Nice thing about Android.

I have noticed on some sites like forums it will say "this forum is Android native" and it seems to pop up once.

 

Yeah I've noticed that some forums that have tapatalk installed (smartphone app and plugin for vbulletin) will say "iphone native click here to learn more". I think the prompt for this site just says "this site has a mobile version available"

I wish I could turn off the mobile browser option my iphone I remember my old Blackberry had an option that would make it so the websites saw it as a firefox or IE browser instead of a mobile browser. It was awesome because some sites will auto-load mobile versions when I'd prefer the full site.
