i was wondering if there were any ways to add an instant messaging system to our forum??

i am a member of rdtiburon.com and we have a chat room on the top that loads onto every page and it is quite cool. not totally nessisary, but it is very coll for everyone to talk, it becomes like a running lounge with everything. would be cool on here to

Yeah most forums do have the "chat room" feature on them. We've never had one here as long as I've been here. I'm sure it could be added though if we submit a request to the site owners. We'll discuss it among the staff and see if it's a viable option. Be aware though that the site owners are pretty slow and updating. They run a number of forums.

We had one for quite a while. People were stupid; abused it and it was removed. The move to vBulletin opens us up to a lot more options though so we'll have to push it up the chain.
