No more editing posts?

So I can't edit my older posts anymore. Is that a new thing, or is it just me having problems.

I ask because I am always editing my led post when I get more info about what bulbs go where, and now I can't. :(

I responded to your post in your build thread. I noticed the same thing just a bit ago. It looks like someone edited the base level settings for some reason. I'll have to look into that, but I have changed it back now so that edits can be made for a longer period of time (2 days). The change was made to reduce it down to only within a few hours of posting which didn't make sense at all...:icon_screwy:

Sounds good, thanks. :)

hmm is this a problem again? Because I cant edit one of my posts from last week.

or is it just an 2 day period that you can only edit it.

Should be a 2 day window, I think.

Bring back the edit feature. :(

Now I can not edit #1 post in my build thread. :(

Just post an update... Is it really that much of an issue?

abig84 09-20-2012 06:04 PM

hmm thats kinda a strange thing. the only thing i could see it effecting is if maybe someone is doing a build thread and has a price list or parts list in the first post he wants to keep adding onto instead of having to keep posting new posts. thats what i did when i built my junk, just kept reediting the first post so people didnt have to scroll around to see all that was spent and bought

I do not mind posting an update, but it saves load time.

I just like having everything in one area. :) I did my build thread here that way people did not have to worry about website maintenance downtime, etc. Only way they would not see it is if the forum went down(which I do not see happening).
