Subscriptions

*DISCLAIMER-I'm not advocating that current BF members come to our forum. The forum I belong to has nothing to do with Blazers, or S-10's*DISCLAIMER off*

Has anyone ever toy'd with the idea about having a yearly paid subscription plan for members? On another site I'm a member of, we have 2 different subscription plans that allows extra features that normal members would not have. 1 of the features is having a dedicated sub-forum where paid members can go in and shoot the bull. Ours is moderated 18+. So posting the good stuff is allowed to a certain extent.

We have always felt, with the vast amount of information on car based forums, and the amount of money members save each year because of these forums, a little bit of a donation does help to keep the forums going.

Here are our 2 options.

I know I don't visit here all that often, but the times I do, I'm very thankful for a robust and informational site as this one. If BF did have a subscription plan, I would pay for it.:icon_playing:

This is an option on several other forums I'm on too. There are a couple of different packages, all with different stuff. Some you get decals, others you get new forum features.
I'm not sure if it's possible with this version of vbulletin we use. If it was something that's possible the request has to go through the site owners. I'll wait until Kyle (admin) comes along with more info though, but I'll say I like the idea.

I am a member of that forum as well, but haven't really been active there since I sold my Bonneville. Besides, when the site was sold (used to be *club.com not *forum.com), there were a lot of people pissed off about how the new owner "cleaned house".

As far as subscriptions go, that is way above the local staff that actually posts on here. Patrick may be able to ask about it, but from what I gather, Internet Brands is all about commonality between their forums. Subscriptions are a part of our forum software and all of what is listed should be possible.
