If you compare front and back wheel wells, you can see here how much the previous owner raised the front of the truck by t-bar cranking. Last night I spent some time leveling the truck by releasing tension from the torsion bars until the ride level was within specs again.

This photo is at an abandoned mine on Lippincott Pass Rd. west of Death Valley. This road is unmaintained, completely out of cellphone range, the only water is what you have in your car, it runs across exposed large razor sharp quarz rocks where it's just a question of luck whether your tires are blown, day temperatures 120 ºF mid June, didn't see a single soul all day... To make it short, it's actually quite a bad idea. Google directions just sends people across there without warning! I'm happy to report me and my 91 truck made it out alive without any incidents. (No worries, I was prepared for the worst, but just so you know... never go there unless you've researched what you're getting yourself into. This southern route to Racetrack Playa destroys cars and gives people whiplash.)

In Anza Borrego State Park, close to "The Slot". The first off-pavement test with the fixed up vehicle.
