4.3 Engine Rebuild for Turbo Setup
Hello It's my first time asking a question here after using this site to fix my own 97 blazer the last few year. I've greatly appreiciated everyones willingness to help others.
My question for today is if anyone knows of an engine rebuild kit that would be suitable for a 97 4.3 vortec engine that will be going under boost. If anyone knows if the kits from sites like partsology, northern auto, or summit racing would be able to handle upto 400ish hp? Or if anyone can recomend semi affordable parts like the pistons, rods, rings, rod bolts, or piston pins that would normally fail if put under boost while stock? Would I need a different crankshaft or camshaft at all or does it matter? Any help would be greatly appreicieted.
p.s. I am a stupid teenager who is doing this to see if he can and to learn how to do it, so I will be sticking with a 4.3 as I think it would be a fun learning experience to swap into an 89 s10. Thank you all very much.

I think the only 2 issues you have for boosting is compression ratio and piston ring gap/tolerance. Make sure to install a boost regulator or blow off valve to control boost pressure. Google turbo be=set up for a 350 or LS engine. Number of cylinders does not matter. You should be able to find lots if information out there.
