I am considering adding a trans, temp gauge for my 700R4. I want to install the sending unit in the test port. What I do not know is how much depth do I have available within the test port. The Auto Meter has a long sensor. I am concerned abut interference.. I could get a street elbow and install the sending unit to the elbow and the elbow into the transmission. Auto Meter has a shorter sending unit for water temp. (Same Range) that I could mount directly in the port . I am considering the Auto Meter 2640 (https://www.summitracing.com/parts/atm-2640).
