Default Electronic 4WD not working 1994 S-10

Hello,

Well I am a victim of the useless pushbutton electronic switch transfer case4wd design on my 1994 S-10 Blazer. [:@]Here is the scenario. First, I check the front differential the vacuum actuator and that is working with no problem and you will see it is working with no problem. Now when sitting in NEUTRAL, I push the 4HI button, the green light is suppose to some on, well you can hear the clicking under the dash but you cannot her or feel the transfer case engage. Now when I push the 4LOW button, it fully engages and the 4WD works. When driving down the road, since 4HI is suppose to be shift on the fly one would think that it would engage, well when pushed....NOTHING!!! stop the Blazer, shift into NEUTRAL press the 4HI and still nothing, press the 4LOW and it kicks in. So is there a solution why this electronic shift transfer case is not engaging into 4HI like it is suppose to?

With Auto trans it should not matter, but I did try to engage it with in Neutral then shift to Drive and nothing. I think the problem is the following:

1992-04 Chevy Truck/SUV S10 Blazer Transfer Case Shift Motor
http://www.1aauto.com/
Part Number: 1AFWM00001
Any other suggestions?

Default FIXED!!! RE: Electronic 4WD not working 1994 S-10

I fixed my own problem. Through some reading I initially thought that it was the Transfer Case Electronic **** motor needing replacement. All things lead to that conclusion until I stumbled across one web site. One person suggested removing the TCCM fuse (5 amp fuse at the bottom of the fuse panel under the dash) start it up, then putting it back in with it running. I did that and the 4WD is now working perfectly! Woo Hoo! saved $169 for a new motor plus just an over an hour of my time to replace it.

I hope that fix works, but that resets the TCCM only. The problem is mostlikely still present and will likely return.
