no 4hi or 4lo
hey everyone i see lots of questions about no 4hi or 4lo. and the answer is always check vac lines. is this the same for no 4x4 at all. i hear and feel it shift into 4wd, but doesn't work after that. i was running a different size tire on it for a bit, could i have wrecked my transfer case?
the 4hi and 4lo were working a month ago, but with this weird feeling the tire were suck in cement, when that went away, and a bit let a noticed no 4wd . any help or tips on were to start, and easy was to test, would be great thanks

Lets start with what you are working on. Year/engine/trans? Is it shift on the floor or push button?

The NV233 has been covered quite well in THIS THREAD with subsequent links to other technical documents. Have a read through there and try some of the things mentioned and let us know the outcome of your testing.

RE: no 4hi or 4lo
i tried that taking out the tccm fuse thing at it worked. also checked the shaft from the TC to the front diff and it did spin when in 4 hi and 4 lo in park.so i assume its the engane motor. with resetting the tccm. 4 wheel works. but swartlkk said in another thread it would come back (problem that is) no doubt it will but what is the problem then if it does?
also does any one know why only the passanger side tires spin? is this normal?

RE: no 4hi or 4lo
The battery disconnect method may work for a while, but there was a reason that the TCCM locked itself down. It will return. It may work good for the winter and then not work again next winter. Or it may only work just that one time. These 4wd systems are finicky that is for sure.
