Question 4x4 working but not engaging - Found vacuum line unplugged - Where does it go?

Thanks for looking in I've got a 95 Blazer that just won't stop running?! It's been a great work vehicle for many years! 4x4 was working but not engaging - I found a loose vacuum line and sealed it w/ finger and 4x4 began to work again after a few sounds etc? A (main?) vacuum line coming from mid engine, over brake booster to driver side corner splits into a tee - 1 line goes down into firewall and the other line coming straight from the tee was corroded and unconnected - can't find where it goes? It did work by plugging it but could that damage something? Thanks

Took another look - not sure what it's called but the ball shaped canister on back of hood is where the hose went - all is well again.
