Default No Speedo-won't shift

OK guys, I need some help. 2002 blazer LS 4X4. Speedo stopped working, and now it won't shift past second gear. First gear rev's to 3500 rpm, and then bangs hard into second. Will not shift anymore. I can't get it to a shop to read the codes since I can't drive it and I live far from town. So far I have done many things to try and fix it. I have all new timken front hub assemblies, new rear VSS, I have replaced ignition switch, rebuilt ABS Module, upgraded 4X4 switch. Module masters stated that ABS unit stored codes concerning the VSS. When I test the new VSS, I am not getting the 5 volts "reference" like the book says. I believe this reference signal is from the PCM. What do you think I should do next? I hope it is not a bad PCM...

Update: finally limped in to the dealership. Bad PCM, 600.00 parts and labor + diagnostics and tax...I will be in it for 800 plus. Hopefully it will shift and have cruise control too! Gees!

2nd update: 603.00 total at dealer for the new PCM install and flash. I inquired about a tune up too...550 bucks, and to make cruise control work they wanted 1000.00. Said the CC module was 785.00 bucks just for the part! I guess I will do the tune up and replace the CC module myself. geesh!
