Stalling at Stop signs

Unhappy Stalling at Stop signs

Hey, I'm new to this site I just got a 1998 Chevy Blazer and it just started stalling at stop signs today...my boyfriend has an OBD II reader and i'm getting codes:
P072, 2 codes of P0175 code a P1133 code and a P1153 code what will fix all of this??????

Codes P0172 and P0175 come up as your motor is running rich (too much fuel) and the best I can find right now is that P1133 and P1153 come up with O2 sensor fail. So my first thought would be O2 sensors. But I dont think that would cause a stall. My truck also has popped codes for both running rich and O2 failure. I started with the fuel pressure regulator then went to the fuel filter, but my truck has never stalled on me. Are there any other problems your Blazer is giving you? Any info you may think might help could help. Good luck.

Try the fuel filter first. Been a while since I've changed one but should be less than $20. Much cheaper than an O2 sensor (albeit, may not fix the problem).

Thanks so much for your replies.....sorry it took so long to reply...so we changed:
O2 sensor between the cat & muffler
wireset, rotor, cap, sparkplugs, thermostat
and seemed to be running better now onto the newest issue...the security light came on & is staying on, the fuel gauge went to empty & the low fuel light came on, the water temp gauge went to zero, the battery light came on & the seatbelt & airbag lights came on we have tried to reset by disconnecting the battery that works for about 10 seconds then all the lights come back on, there is a clicking sound under the dash around the middle to the passenger side. The OBD II reader will not link up to the Blazer getting a broken link message. Please any help would be great.

Did this electrical issue start right after the parts replace?
I suspect there's a loose/bad connection related to wiring disturbed installing the wires, start looking on passenger side from the PCM {computer} to and around the firewall. There are Grd points at the rear of engine. Also check all fuses. underhood and IP, Side of dash.
Spark plug wires must be installed securely, like the original manufacture, and not touch or directly cross other wiring.
Obviously that problem must be fixed first.

The combination of those four codes can be caused by the engine getting too much fuel, enough that the PCM cant compensate thus the codes.
- a rich condition is not caused by dirty fuel filter or low fuel pressure
- The O2 you changed - bank 1 sensor 2, has nothing to do with it, only monitors the catalytic converter and no reason to kill the messengers yet anyway. BAnks 1 and 2, sensors 1 were the ones reported and they measure the mixture. The are between the exhaust manifolds and the Y in the pipe.

Another thing can cause your symptoms is a dirty EGR valve which 'fakes' a rich condition and can disrupt fuel management at idle because it doesnt shut all the way off.

sounds like a bad ground or broken wire

It turned out to be the ABS computer finally took it in and spent $200.00 to figure it out, disconnected the ABS module and everything working again, i'm used to driving a vehicle without ABS so not going to spend over $400.00 to fix that issue, it's a discontinued part from GM & would have to take my chances at a junk yard for a good one not worth the headache...thanks again for your help
