Ok, it's time for me to start adding my updates. Will most likely be kind of slow at first, as my budget is slim, but we will see how it goes.

First off I added new seat/steering wheel covers.

Got some average speakers for the back doors.
Kenwood 180w 6 1/2 3-way

(I'll add pics of the install if you want to see, although it's pretty straight foward)

I'll keep y'all updated.
Glad to finally be adding to the fun.

Cool First step to my system

Little update, finally going to start working on the sound system. Still going to be a little slow going, but I'll post up as I get each peice.

Got these on a clearance sale for $30 a peice.

Default Amp and Box arrive!

Not the best out there, but should suit my purpose.
Amp: Dual XPE2700 400W Max, 2-Channel MOSFET XPE Series

Box:Absolute USA MDHF12 12-Inch Dual Universal Sealed Enclosure

I'll add more when I start up the wiring, etc....and when my new head unit/front door speakers arrive. Bout time I get some decent sound in this thing.

I thought about it, but going to wait on that for now. The Kenwoods I have in the rear now sound pretty good alone, will see how they sound together with my new JVC( 6 1/2, 240 watt 2-way) front speakers, and subs. If they sound ok, I'll probably leave them alone.
*edit* Here's the wiring for the subs, used the suggested wiring setup from Crutchfield's website.

And the subs in the box!

Default Radio is finally here

My new head unit/front door speakers finally arrived.

The stereo:

The speakers:

Gonna get all the wiring done inside, and then out to the 20 degree weather for the install. Sorry, due to afore mentioned temps, won't be taking pics of actual install. But, most of us here have/can install new head units, so pics can be imagined.

Ok, so a couple of hours(sat in truck and played with my new toy) and some frozen toes later, head unit is in. Have my remote/rca wires hooked up as well. Took me forever to find a way to run those. Maybe I just missed the obvious path, but everything in the dash seemed compartmentalized. Ended up coming out the ashtray underneath the dash. Will do my door speakers and the amp/subs tomorrow when it's light out.(depending on finding that darn hole in the firewall, still haven't found it yet!) Also have to do the Big 3 and install my new battery terminal as well.

As I said no pics of actual install, but here's the finished product. Might try to get better pics in the morning when it's light out.

You have to pull back the carpet on the passenger side and it's very plain to see the grommet. You can't see it very well from the engine compartment unless you go under the truck.

I've read that on here before, and did have the carpet pulled up before, maybe again I'm missing the obvious. Thanks for the tip though.
