Brake light abs trouble
I have a 94 Blazer k1500 My ABS light began to flicker and now it is on constantly, then I took it in to a mechanic and he couldnt figure out the problem and now my Emergency brake light is on also, I played with the pedal and its not that. Any advise would be very much appreciated. Im a single parent and I feel I am getting ripped off by some mechanics over this. Thank you.

I know that most of the time, not always but usually, when the ABS has an issue then the brake light will come on to signal that there is a problem with the brake system. That being said, look at the ABS rings on the front axles and make sure they are clean, sometimes if they get dirty enough with grease build up or what not, the signal from the ring to the pickup sensor is blocked enough to cause the ABS to not read and throw a light. It's a bit of a reach....but possible. If thats not it then maybe a full fluid flush will help, sometimes the fluid will attract enough moisture to create a sludge like mess to get into the system and wreak havoc on the ABS. Check the condition of the fluid in the reservoir and if its very cloudy and dark, it needs changed. Hope this might help. Keep us posted....
