My 97 jimmy has no dash lights our tail lights so I must only drive in the day time. I just got a remote starter put in a few weeks ago. Problem started to occur couple months ago though when I would have to somewhat play around with the headlight switch, and place it half way between the on off position in order to keep the dash lights on. Full on would keep the dash/tails off. I figured the switch was going bad. Now I got the remote start installed and it all worked fine for a couple weeks. Then the problem started to come back to the point that the lights don't work. Strange thing is when the truck is started with the remote start everything works fine until I tap the brake and that instantly cutts the lights out again. Is the anything I should check our replace?

 

Anyone Have any ideas?
