Disabling DRL's

Disabling DRL's
Hey guys, I've been trying to permanently disable the daytime running lights and it seems to not be working.
I've searched and searched and searched some more but with no luck...
I have a 2002 Blazer LS, with a fuse relay box under the hood, and a fuse panel on the driver's side of the dash.
On the fuse panel, there are no fuses labeled with DRL.
On the fuse relay box, there is a DRL relay, I pulled it out, DRL's still worked.
I bent over pins #85, #86, #87, without bending #87a or #30, and DRL's still worked.
If the DRL's still work, what did I just break by bending those pins? :O
Everything seems to be working as normal...

That's odd, I pulled that relay off and got no drl's on mine but my automatic headlights work normally
#3
Wait, automatic headlights? ¿Què?
#4
the headlights come on automatically when is dark out
#5
In that case, how do you disable those? :O

I read here on a post about it, it get's done with a resistor. My advice search disabling auto headlights and you should find it

Thanks. Just found a link to essentially the same tutorial on S10 forum. I (in my ignorance) had thought that DRL's and auto headlights were the same thing.
Ironically, I bent the pins on the relay at about 10 at night, so the auto headlights came on.

YW, you can turn the feature off by hitting the dome override button twice but it will come back on every time you start the truck

Four times actually, and that's what I've been doing for the past few months. :P
