Las Vegas: 84 K5 Blazer Restore
Hey, I'm the newest newbie... came from the import scene now ready for a domestic build... I've built a 1991 Dodge Stealth Twin Turbo to a 565AWHP, 11-second 1/4 mile daily driveable beast. Also owned a 415AWHP Subaru STI. When I was a teen my dad and I built a 66 Impala 4-door, and then I sold that to get a 71 Chevelle SS. I owned a 67.5 Mustang Notchback for a while....
Recently bought 2 K5 Blazers, an 84 and an 82... between the two I have 1.7 full running vehicles (short a rear axle).
Restoring the truck for my 16yo, it's a father/son project.
Anyway I'm looking for parts but evidentally I can't post in classifieds for 10 days and 10 posts so whatever, I guess my build gets put off by a couple weeks.

LOL yeah I have some pics somewhere, but the turbos were stock-housing so didn't look that impressive. 550-575hp is pretty easy on that engine... I did it by doing a Corvette MAF (air intake/sensor) and a data translator, upgraded (internal) turbos, upgraded intercoolers, bigger injectors and a basic fuel controller. Running 21-22psi does it!
So on this project, I'm working on budget and looks like we're about $800 above, but that's mostly caused by the really nice re-upholster job we're thinking about having done ($850 for 2 front seats and the rear seat)... we may "cheap out" and get some Tahoe seats (leather) but only if we can find them CLEAN.

Hehe, really the Stealth was nothing out of the ordinary - anyone who mods the 3000GT/Stealth platform knows it's not hard to get mid-500AWHP out of them...
The only really special thing about mine was that I had a custom paintjob, a very bright white with a blue pearl on top - sorta like they used to do on old muscle cars. It was sweet looking.
I thought maybe my pics were lost then I remembered I have a CarDomain for it
http://www.cardomain.com/ride/235950
The only real update to the CarDomain is that I did get into the 11's (11.9), my trap speeds went WAY up (118-121mph) and I also changed the wheels to some Enkei racing wheels.
As for this build (the Blazer), as you can tell I tend to go overboard... so I'm pretty sure the interior will be darn nice, and the paint will be really nice... I'm just as excited as you guys to see the progress!
This weekend is complete removal of the interior and I'll probably go ahead and restore the cap...
Oh, and there is a build thread here: https://blazerforum.com/forum/builds-48/project-bab-46308/
My wife and I are pro photographers so I'm pretty sure there will be plenty of pics! They will start this weekend!
