Also a quick check with a multimeter at the battery while running will verify charging. Set the meter to volts dc. While running just connect it to the battery and you should have 13-15 vdc. Also if you have the meter connected while starting and it drops below 10, you may have a dead cell.

Default battery issue

i may get flack for what im gonna say cuz i know my temp solution is a battery cut out switch which stops ALL current flow when sitting...downside is when you install it and use it, cutting ALL power constantly starts your drivability codes as well as other things from scratch, but may buy time to ind true cause

Thanks guys for all your advice it seems to be running good now I havent had to jump it for a while now. Could the cold weather have anything to do with it cuz this was all happening when it was bitter cold out an now were in the mid 30s most of the day an everything is fine, ill never fully get all this but its fun trying to figure it all out. My next project is flushing the heater core cuz im getting the water sound behind my dash anyone know hpw to get the job done?

Haven't had any probs with my blazer or s10 but have had gm issues before with the radios, for some reason they link every damn thing thru there. Might wanna pull it out and take a look. Good luck.
