Default 94 s-10 door hinges

This is an easy questions but I was told by a friend something different. I have to replace my driver side door and when I got to take the pin and bushings off I notice whoever had the blazer before me welded washers on with the pin to hold the pins in and my friend told me that we have to replace the door hinges on it. He told me that the door hinges on the driver side they are welded on and I need to get it cut off and get another set and weld them on. Another friend told me that they are just bolted on. So my question is are the door hinges welded on or are they bolted on? Thanks in advance!!!

Welded. But you can just replace the pins/bushings. Just get someone to cut the pins out. It is possible that the hinges themselves are bad due to wear, but you have to get the pins out to get a good look at the hinge.

i just did a full swap on my driver door (bought a new driver door just the sheet metal). on the new door they should already have a washer/bushing type welded in.

on the pins there is a black clip that has 2 prongs that together look like a 'V' the open end springs open to hold the pin in. this is what u have to break or bend and then hammer the pins out w/ a punch. fairly simple just look at the new pins to see what i'm talking about. new bushings come with the pins pound those in first then the pins.
