Default Very Odd Situation

My VIN W 94 Blazer is really acting weird.
When I start it up it will run rough and sometimes backfires, I will run it for about 10 miles and will do it when the car is warmed up.
Here's the catch, when I turn off the car for 10 minutes, start it up again and it will run perfectly normal after it is warmed up...
I am getting a code 23 from the computer which is Manifold Air Temperature or something along those lines.
My question is if it is a bad O2 sensor would it throw a code or is it something more like a bat MAT sensor?
I'm thinking it's a bad O2 sensor but I don't want to be throwing money at it if it's something simple...
Thanks!

from the book I have on my 94:

code 23: MAT low temp indication, sets if the manifold air temperature sensor connections or wires are open for 3 seconds

that being said I'd start by unplugging the wires and make sure the connections are not corroded if so clean them and plug em back in if that does not work try the air charge sensor (the problem when mine had this code) with it acting normal after being shut off and restarted I would lean more toward a corroded or loose connection.

it also isnt hard to change out that senor and it isnt that expenive either. mine was throwing out that code and it was a mixture of the connector being broken and it needed to be replaced.
