Default 1985 S15 Jimmy 4x4 major trans issue

So I recently regained ownership of my 1985 GMC S15 Jimmy 4x4 2.8L from my ex wife, who sad to say did a real number on the transmission. It's got the 700R4 auto transmission. Luck for me I work in a auto shop and can easily work on it, unfortunately we steer clear of transmission stuff. When I got the truck back I knew I needed to have the trans rebuilt, fluid was black and it only wanted to drive in the 2nd gear selection on the shifter. I pulled the transmission and sent it off to be rebuilt, got it back and put it all back together with my only issues being some banged up knuckles and lots of time and sweat. Get everything totally done and fire her up thinking I got a nice weekend of hitting the trails ahead of me. I fire her up and put her in drive......nothing...I swear....I think maybe I just have the shifter misaligned and am actually in neutral....I try all shifter positions and have zero movement at the wheels.... I lift the truck back up, disconnect the shifter from the trans and try shifting through all the positions of the transmission by hand and still have no output to the wheels....I did a lot of research before I did the job and I'm 100% sure that I have the transmission installed and hooked up properly, and I know for sure that the vacuum lines to the transfer case all all hooked up, so I shouldn't be stuck in neutral on the transfer case from that...when I had the transfer case out I cleaned it up good, ran some parts cleaner through it and blew low pressure air through it to ensure it was dried out, then filled it with fluid, although the input shaft seal on the transfer case is leaking cause I forgot to buy a new one, it's too slow of a leak to have made a difference...Any ideas?

Is there fluid pressure in it? Fluid come out of the cooler lines? Did you bolt the TC back onto the flywheel? Forget the flywheel when checking the rear main?

Agreed. Check trans fluid level and keep doing it until the proper amount shows on the dipstick. I personally wouldn't blow air through the transfer case. These things have a pickup tubethat feeds the T-case internal oil pump. If the trans fluid checks out the T-case is the next thing I would suspect. They just ain't that hard. If everything above checks out I only have one thing to say. Warranty.

ok so I know that I bolted up the converter and the flywheel, but I wasn't aware of needing to put fluid directly into the converter as it sounds like I should have, I only filled the trans through the dipstick tube after it was all assembled, and I put it the specified amount as per ALLDATA specs
