1991 4.3 Blazer cracked block putting a 1996 4.3 in with a carb
Webought a 1991 blazer 4 x 4 freshing it up found out it had a cracked block.
We bought a great 1996 complete motor to put in it and we are changing "from tbi" to a Holley carburetor.
What needs to be done for this change to take place?
Do we have to put the old heads on instead of the 1996 heads?
We were told not to use those.
Does it need an external fuel pump? A fuel regulator?
What about the computer wires?
We are prepared to do what ever it takes for this change.
Just need the correct info to make it happen.

The second generation 1996 Blazer 4.3L Vortec 4300 V6 CSFI heads have different intake manifold bolt hole anglescompared tothe first generation 1988 -1992 S/T-10 Blazer 4.3L V6 TBI heads. In other words, a 1988-1992 carburator or TBI intake manifold will not fit the bolt holes in the 1996Vortec4300 heads.

If you are already planning on purchasing a carb manifold (Edelbrock #2114), you can get one that will bolt right up to the newer heads.
