Not always. It does not take much water to produce white smoke.

A coolant system pressure test may not show a blown head gasket if it is isolated to one cylinder and the valves are closed when you test it. Make sure you bump the engine 90 degrees or so and recheck. You can look for the presence of bubbles in your radiator as well, sometimes they are present sometimes not.

Change both valve cover gaskets, always change things in pairs, if one brake or one bulb or one gasket has gone bad then the other is soon to follow. As far as the A/C, if you have a solid ground and the system works but drains the battery, you most likely have wiring issues. If your battery looses charge when the system works as it should then you have a mild short that shunts the voltage to ground and thus drains the battery. In other words, some wire, somewhere, is allowing current to flow from the battery to ground, draining the battery. Good luck, wiring issuses always bite ***.

hmm...il look into that..The biggest thing right now is trying to find a bushing for the transmission linkage..no auto store here has it INCLUDING the dealership...
