Default 1991 tbi rebuild advice

Hi Guys, I just got done pulling the heads on my 1991 tbi. I am looking for advice to clean this pig... I will post pictures later today.. I called the machine shop today they wanted 160 to go over the head and check \ do a valve job is this about right? Also since i am already in this deep do check anything else? I did not do a compression test. stupid me...

how many miles? you can get a complete rebuild kit for like 300-400 $$ if you already have it torn apart you may as well do everything.
Also what was the condition of the engine before you tore it apart; was it running good? if it was running well you could probably get away without doing the bottom end but its a nice piece of mind to have a fully rebuilt engine in your rig

160 per head or for each? thats not bad either way. Friend had his done and was $230 a head. thats to fix em up like new.

sorry I should have been more specific they said 160 for the pair plus parts for the valves

If that includes taking them apart, magnafluxing, cleaning, and putting them together I want their addy. That's a hell of a deal. I tear mine down and steam clean them for the guy that does mine and he knocks a bit off the price.
