I've got some issues with the 1992 jimmy i recently purchased and i was hoping someone here could help me out.

- 4x4 high does not engage ( no lights appear on switch when in any gear aside from neutral, and when in neutral the green and orange lights will flash a few times but it will not engage.

- 4x4 low does engage in neutral but is sluggish and the transmission shifts very poorly

- ABS is not functioning and there is an intermittent abs warning light on the dash, attempted to manually retrieve a code without an OBD scanner but no codes were given other than 12 repeating itself.

 

Many things on the 1st gens are vacuum operated. You may wato check for vacuum leaks and also check that round black plastic resivour for small holes and seal any holes and leaks. My experience has always been to check the simple and easy things first.
