My 93 S10 Blazer, 4 door, 4x4 4.3L Vortec vin "W" is leaking coolent from somewere under the area of the distributor. I can't pinpoint the exact area.
From above, I don't see anything. From below it is leaking down on the drivers side of the oil pan. The leak is fairly significant. It is not either of the freeze plugs. I have not found a digram of the cooling system anywhere. I have the Haynes repair manual but can't find anything! Any help would be greatly appreciated! THANKS!

If you take a flashlight and a mechanics mirror and look at theupper rear of the engine, you will probably find that it is leaking from the intake manifold gasket.

THANK YOU! That is exactly where it is leaking from. Much smaller hole than I thought, maybe the size of a pin.
Now, would it make more sense to replace the gaskets or try one of these "Chemical" sealent products for the cooling system?
Again, THANKS rridle3 and swartlkk!!

Don't know what Kyle and Rick think but I don't know how comfortable I would be with stop leak in it. Depends on your budget and travel that you do-ie how far from a tow truck are you at any given time

Thanks for your input Jerry!
Any idea how long it would take to change the intake manifold gaskets?

Depends upon how skilled you are-or whomever you have do it. Lastly...how many problems you have with the truck when done
! The good book probably says 4-5 hours. Jerry[&:]
