i am haven very similar problems with my 93 blazer 2wd 4dr. ive replaced gas tank, sending unit, fuel pump, spider, fuel pres. reg., distributor, ecm, and injector clip(soldered properly). was running great for couple weeks then those issues came back and stalled and died on way home today, now no start.
the last time this happened(after all the parts) i pulled upper plenum off and checked everything over, it looked great. put it all back together and it started till today.
i have hooked up a genisys computer(most shops use it with pathfinder prgm) and it reads 9999rpms with key on and motor off (?) but it starts at random with it reading those rpms and they will read right running?
im sure im missing some too but if you solve id like to hear what you tried

good luck

My '93 is doing the same thing. Crusien along and bam...total shut down...like turning the key....coast to the side and sit a while and it will start again. Lucky for me at the time I had software hooked into the car. When I finaly got home and looked, at the time of shut off, the fuel pump went to 0 volts. hummmm....not going anywhere when that happens....I'm replacing the oil pressure switch over the holidays. I think it's on its way out and telling the ECM there's no oil pressure, which in turns tells the fuel pump relay to shut off......i've already replaced the relay and it did it again.....this would explain when starting fluid sprayed into it, would start, but when it ran out. just die again....no fuel....I think...who knows....if this doesn't work the last thing is the ECM....will let ya know what happens....
