1994 s-10 4WD Brakes
My son has a 1994 S10 Blazer 4WD. The front brakes don't seem to release properly, always drag and goes through brake pads in about 20K miles. I've replaced the master cylinder and calipers and bleed the brakes several times. I'm a fairly good shade tree mechanic, I think it's in the ABS control, it may just need blead but not sure how to bleed the ABS unit.
Have you checked the brake hoses to the calipers? I had to replace them on my '93 - they looked great on the outside but were deteriorating on the inside.
Fluid could push out to the caliper but couldn't go back, sticking the calipers at least partially closed. When I unscrewed one end, a ton of little black rubber marbles came shooting out with the fluid.

I replaced all of the flexible brake lines (front and rear) when the master cylinder failed, there was a lot of liner in the brake fluid at that time. Replaced the master cylinder flushed and bleed the brakes. With the tires off the ground I can spin the front tires with little force. I press the brakes and then release the pedal and the rotors are about froze, it takes several minutes before I can spin the tires again. I've also replaced the proportioning valve, the ABS control is the only mechanical devise that has not been replaced in the front brake system. There are two bleed ports on top of the ABS unit but I can't get anything out of them. I've read some mention of needing a handheld programmer to bleed it.

I hope you don't have a bad abs unit. the tech 1 scanner will bleed the abs unit, but for future knowledge, heres what I did on a ABS equipped GM last week, I changed the front flex hoses AFTER changing the vac booster and brake master, I bleed the master cylinder and bolted it to the vac booster, then I took a syringe filled with brake fluid and filled each line before I put them back on the master cylinder, then changed the flex hoses, doing the same thing. So far so good on the brakes they show no signs of any problems at all, maybe that procedure can help you or someone else in the future, but if theres any GM techs on here that read this tell me if this works or if I just got lucky.
