Ok so what I want to do with this blazer that I have that I got for free, is buy a 350 carbureted engine and a trans, not sure what but an automatic, strip the truck out(the inside is trash anyways). It was a 2.8 manual. I want it to be a race truck. Is it possible to just firewire in a electric fan and a fuel pump and the ignition ETC. and have this thing work, has it ever been done? feel free to comment good idea, bad idea? Thanks.

been done thousands of times. you can use exsisting fuel pump, just need a regulator or use a mechanical pump. just find the hot wire for the hei ignition. its a pretty simple swap but theres a little more to it then youd think. i think i spent like 2000 on the truck i built and i used mostly junkyard parts.
