4.3L Head removal

4.3L Head removal
I have a 1988 Blazer with a 4.3 liter V6. My question involves removing the drivers side cylinder head from the block. I have removed everything in the way and I can't get the head loose, I don't want to risk maring any surfaces by prying the head loose. What would be the next step to removing the head from the block? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

RE: 4.3L Head removal
Ok so you have the accessory brackets, the intake, the exhaust manifolds, and all 3 of the rows of bolts off/out of the head and it won't budge? This is where I usually use a large screw driver or a pry bar and put it between the front rail on the block and the head and give her hell. Just make sure that you also have ahold of the head. This area isn't critical for sealing of the head and I have never actually marred this area in anyway with all of the engines I have torn down. You just have to keep the prying tool centered in the gap.
