4wd only works with vacuum actuator disengaged
#11
The spring (16) that is on the shift fork (17) pushes the shift fork (17) & shift collar (22) back onto the stub shaft (23) to the differential, disengaging the collar (22) from the passenger side axle shaft gear (9).

so what im understanding from what you are saying is the shift fork (17) is actually in front of the coupler(sleeve) (22) and when you disengage the 4wd the fork actually pushs it back to the gear (23) cause if that is the case i feel like a complete idiot cause i put the fork in wrong, which kind of would make sense and kind of irritate me a little bit >:l lol lesson learned cause i just put it back the way it was which was the fork pulling that coupler up to gear (9), im kind of confused though cause if that is the case how does the coupler when in 2wd switching into 4wd and the fork gets pulled how does the coupler actually put forward and onto both of those gears and not disengage? sorry if i have alot of questions im more enging worthy than 4wd understanding know what i mean lol
