Have a question we just got a 85 k 5 and have no headlights. The person we got the k5 from said he said he had traced it to the firewall from the inside of cab and inside of the motor. So my question is this a broke wire going through the firewall?

 

thats a pretty small chunk of wire ...have you made sure the switch is good?
i would think if it was the wire you could turned them on and crawled around and wiggled the wires you should get the lights to flash that would mean that there is a short.

 

just got to start checking wires with a test light, start at the head lights themselves. ive owned a bunch of k5s and these goofy headlight plugs always became so nasty and corroded
