87 2.8 overheating

well lol its the radiator, so im going to get one and put it in. everything else looks good. all fluids are in good condition and the head gasket isnt blown (thnk gawd). gonna try and grab a new rad this weekend and get it in there. i guess its garage bound til then. thnx for all the help-

if it still over heats after the new radiator check the intake manifold gasket

finally got around to putting the rad in. runs great now temp is staying down so it seemed to fix the issue. old one was prety gunked up inside

ok so im over heating again. the temp will get pretty high but drop back down. i have replaced the water pump and rad. im not running a t-stat, could this be an issue? i have not replaced the upper and lower hose yet, maybe collapsing under pressure? and the fan is still the belt driven one maybe the clutch is bad? im at a lose and dont kno where to go from here. any help would be great-

My radiator and fan clutch were the problem in my 87 2.8. I couldn't see the radiator problem till I pulled it. A flush would not have fixed it the tubes were to messed up.

i think im just retarded. this was pretty much user error. air pocket in the system from when i swapped out rad and water pump
