Default 87 S10 Blazer heater core R/R

I have the old one out but I would like more room to install the new one by being able to pull the R/H side of the dash out more.
The problem is that I can not see or feel what ever it is that is behind the the dash vent.
What is back there and how do I get to it? Screw, bolt, clip, or snapey thingey?

I used to have time to kill; now time is killing me!

Roger

Update:

I went to my local Chevy dealer's Parts department to see if there might be a diagram that would help; there wasn't. However, I was directed to the Service area to see if they had something; again, no luck.
So the Service guy took me over to the Shop Manager whom he said had "years of experience" and Dave (a real nice guy with whom I had spoke to on several occasions about my 2K Silverado) and he said that he had done a bunch of them and that I didn't need to do any more than I had done already. Apparently it is just a tight fit and you have to work with the room you have.
Of course, if any one still knows what is back there, I would really like to have more room to work.

Roger
