Exclamation 93 S10 Strange Problem

Ok so for the year I have had this suv it has had problem after problem and now I am down to the very last one. The smoke...

The engine is a 4.3L Vortec CPI motor with 130k miles on it. W/ A/c

I Have replaced the valve seals already.
I Have also replaced the Spider
I Also Replaced the EGR valve with one with the mesh screen
Also replaced the plenum and valve cover gaskets.
Burning Oil
Not burning(or boiling for some) of water
Oil is surprisingly very clean

The problem starts some days it smokes like crazy after sitting all night, and then others only for about 5-10 sec. Then goes away for about 10 min then comes back full force.the smoke looks white but smells like fuel burning. A/C seems to agitate the problem. Yet when I drive down the road little to no smoke comes out regardless of acceleration, be it hard or soft.

please help.

Check your compression or do a cylinder leakdown test. You might find that the piston rings are starting to let some oil by.

Did the test finally and it came back with the following

Front to back Driver side

135 - 133 -135

Passenger

135 - 135 - 180

still runs but uses both coolant and oil now smokes almost constantly at idle not very much (tons under heavy throttle) and also after sitting idle for 15+ min a whole lot

dosnt get hot

If its using both coolant and oil, your bottom end isn't too healthy. I'd bet that cylinders 1 - 5 are shot as evidenced by their lower compression reading. Cylinder 6 may have a valve seal leak that is putting more oil into the cylinder than the others thereby helping to seal up the compression rings.

Did you try squirting oil into the cylinders through the spark plug hole to see if the compression increased?

How did the spark plugs look?

Cyl 6 is way high on compression, there must be a bunch of junk in there built-up, especially if its got an oily plug and not firing properly. Its time to have the heads off that engine for an internal inspection - major surgery is fun. The white smoke is coolant burning. Make sure you grab us up some photos so we can have a lookie at whats going on too. You may also want to use a used engine if you dont have the want to tear it down yourself. Or you could get a rebuilt block with rotating assembly, and have your heads reworked at a head shop - more reliable than used stuff.
