Default 94 GMC Jimmy 4.3 Auto to 5 Speed Swap

So I have a 94 GMC Jimmy with 4.3 CPI Vortec and push button 4wd. I have done a 3" body lift and 32x11.50s on it. After a little 4 wheeling to get to our river camp spot over the holiday weekend I managed to either break the torqure converter or crack the flexplate. So instead of fixing that, I am thinking about doing a 5 speed swap, because I hate automatics anyway.

I have found a 94 S10 with 4.3 5 speed with a blown engine. Will everything swap over? I know the body style on the 94 S10 is different, and I am unsure about the transfer case situation, or the computer situation, because I think the 94 s10 is tbi judging by the air cleaner on top of the engine in the pics.

Any info on this would be really helpful.

Thanks!

Oh, and something I just thought of, will the driveshafts work? The donor truck is a single cab s10 and my truck is a 4 door blazer.

How did it go? I am currently in a similar situation with my auto jimmy from 92 and found a blazer from 2005 manual which I would like to swap over. I know its an old thread but worth a shot!

I'd recommend that you start your own thread. You're asking a guy who had two posts, seven years ago.
