Default 94 S10 Blazer Question

ok ... here goes ... i just changed the fuel regulator in my 94 S10 blazer with 4.3 TBI... what could be the consequences if a small piece of the intake gasket fell down the intake .... it ran great before i changed the reg .... except for the starting problem ... now starts great but runs very rough and has no power ... any different ideas would help .... thought i could have damaged the rotor cap ... but looks ok ... starts like a gem but has no power

Could you have a vacuum leak from forgetting to reconnect something or something having been knocked off?
