I think you have a good idea. I would suspect the hoses over the lines though.

ok, i replaced the flex hoses on saturday and the brakes worked great. I flushed my coolant system today and two coolant temp. gagues. I just got in and drove to the gas station and my brake pedal is so hard to push. the brakes do work when i push down but i have to use two feet to push down the pedal. Pleassssssssssssseeeee help

Sounds like you may have a bad brake booster. Does the booster hold vacuum after you turn the truck off? Test by pulling the vacuum line on the booster with the engine off. It should hold vacuum. You can also test this by pulling the vacuum line with the engine running to see if you get a rush of air into the booster, but be aware that the engine will be pulling a pretty good vacuum on the line so try to get it capped right away.

heres my new problem. I replaced my two coolant temp sensors and found out its over heating, My 1988 s-10 blazer 2.8. So i changed the thermastat, water pump, and now the radiator. but its still over heating. But when i drive it and bring it back home, i open the hood and everything is cool, not hot. The coolant in the resevor isnt boiling or anything. Also i did a compression test and the pressure was all around 165. Please help

it could be as easy as a bubble around your sensor. I have not had much experience with the 2.8 l but some vehicles you have to jack up the front end to get all the bubbles out. also does the temp jump dramatically and constently? you could have a sensor short and it's just getting more voltage then it wants.
