Default breaks are stiff and abs light is on. . . HELP

ok guys i need some help in my 94 blazer every now and then my abs light will come on and stay on till i turn off the truck, no big deal but also every now and then when im driving and go to hit the brakes they are extremely stiff like it feels like im pressing the pedal against a brick wall and the brakes dont work i haft to let off and slam the pedal with everything i got and they will break free and stop, its scary as hell when it happens and i have no clue what it could be, it only does it every now and then sometimes more than others and lately when it happens there has been a loud groaning noise when it happens which im assuming is the abs. im just really lost with this one, any help is greatly appreciated.

Have you checked the ABS system for any codes? If you don't know how start with THIS that would be my first stop since you get the intermittent ABS light it's telling you something just not sure what at this point. Let us know what you find and we will do our best to help further.

Sounds like your brake booster has gone bad. The abs light is only letting you know you don't have any breaks.

by the way when you said henry ford made the first car you very very wrong actually the british made the first car. ford was the first person to put them in a mass perduction. the british were making each car by hand for almost 15 years before ford had the idea of making a huge industry out of it.
