check enhine light question

Default check engine light question

Will OBD1 in my 94 s10 throw or does it have a code for the cat. converter? Been getting a whif of the rotten aggs smell every now and then

i dont believe so... what will throw a cat code will be the oxygen sensor behind the catalytic converter. if you dont have a o2 sensor behind it then you wont get a code. im guessing you probably dont as my 90 and 93 dont.

so the cat can be bad your truck just wont tell you

Rotten egg smell on a '94 with the original catalytic converter - I'd replace the cat.
